WhatsApp will stop working on Windows Phone devices. The application is currently available on certain Windows Phones, and will stop working on December 31, 2019.
“You will no longer be able to use all Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019, and WhatsApp is not available in the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019,” WhatsApp said, quoted by Mirror on Friday (27/12).
End of support does not stop there, WhatsApp will also stop working on several Android and iPhone smart phones in the coming months.
Starting February 1, 2020, users using Android 2.3.7 and earlier can no longer create new accounts, or re-verify existing accounts.
Meanwhile, iPhones that run on iOS 8 and older will also stop creating new accounts or re-verify existing accounts starting February 1, 2020.
